Dear Readers,
On February 27, 2026, a literary and musical evening dedicated to the presentation of the book “NARQYZ” and the spiritual legacy of the great zhyrau Nurpeis Baiganin was held at AlmaU Open Library.
Guests of the evening immersed themselves in the living tradition of the steppe epic, listened to heartfelt performances, and became part of a warm dialogue between generations. A special highlight was the meeting with the zhyrau’s descendant, Yerbolat Baiganin, who shared his family history and presented the library with a three-volume collection of his grandfather’s works. The musical atmosphere was created by students of the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy, and the evening concluded with a vibrant performance by the ethno-group MuzTengri.
The evening was filled with the harmony of word, music, and memory, leaving guests with a deep sense of connection to a great cultural heritage.
We thank everyone who shared this inspiring evening with us!
