On January 26, 2025, the first reporting meeting was held in AlmaU Open Library, bringing together members of the AOL community, university library specialists, AlmaU management and everyone who is sincerely interested in the development of education and culture! The spacious reading room of the library became a place for summing up the work of AlmaU Open Library for the past year, discussing plans for the future and bright creative performances. The event began with a warm welcome for the guests: The best library projects were shown on the screens, inspiring new ideas. The welcoming speech was given by the Vice-Rector for Communications and Student Development Mardanov D.T., setting a positive tone for the entire meeting.
Y.V. Kolchina presented the final report on the activities of AlmaU Open Library: from successful projects and initiatives to ambitious goals for 2025. The presentation aroused great interest among the guests, and the discussion of prospects inspired further joint work.
The cultural program became a real highlight of the event: T. Tomasov's performances with heartfelt songs and E. Koroleva's reading of her own poems created an atmosphere of warmth and creativity. The guests listened with interest to V. Novikov's presentation on artificial intelligence and its application in modern life. S. Sibanbaeva presented a video on computer courses for pensioners, demonstrating how AlmaU opens up new opportunities for different age groups. E. Voronova's lecture on bibliotherapy showed how books can become a tool for improving life and peace of mind. Particular emphasis was placed on the interactive part: a flash mob from the AlmaU Open Library team charged the guests with energy and positivity. Biblio Battle with interesting questions and memorable prizes became a real intellectual competition. At the end of the meeting, the guests shared their impressions and ideas, and D. T. Mardanov and Yu. V. Kolchina expressed gratitude to all participants for their contribution to the development of AlmaU Open Library.
The event ended in a warm atmosphere at a buffet, where light background music was playing, and the guests continued to discuss ideas and plans.
